Meet Your Instructor

Stephen Bjorlin serves as the Lead Pastor of Portland Covenant Church and carries with him a wide range of ministry experiences. Before moving to Portland, Stephen served as the Associate Pastor at Great Exchange Church, an Asian-American community in the Bay Area of California. He has also served as a worship leader, youth pastor, and guest speaker in a broad range of diverse churches and denominations. Stephen is passionate about issues of diversity, race, and justice.

How Does It Work?

Once you pay for entry, you will be signed up for four online classes, each about 60-90 minutes long, and the accompanying resources and discussion questions to go with them. Each week we will release the next chapters of your journey. Our past groups have raved about the value of doing the class together. Classes are held on Zoom at 7pm on Thursdays nights.

  • First Class - March 4th - Chapters 1 & 2

  • Second Class - March 11th - Chapters 3 & 4

  • Third Class - March 18th - Chapters 5 & 6

  • Fourth Class - March 25th - Chapter 7 & Helpful Practices

    It isn't only for white people, but please be aware that it is directed toward white people, and may be triggering for you if you are a person of color.

  • Is the course Christian?

    We have both Christians and non-Christians take our class and benefit from it. We offer this class to anyone and everyone.

  • How much does it cost?

    You receive access to our four online Zoom classes, Facebook group, and curriculum for just 100 dollars.

  • Do you offer any discounts?

    Right now the only discount is group rate, feel free to recruit a large group to bring the individual cost down!
